    Infrastructure Committee

    Hey everyone,

At SRC Camp we identified infrastructure to be a major area that we want to work on for next year, to address problems with the toilets, changerooms and sporting facilities, as well as several minor issues. For this reason an Infrastructure Committee will be established within the SRC comprising of two people from each year group (preferrably one male and one female). This committee will conduct research into the current state of our infrastructure in a variety of ways including surveys, interviews, gathering any relevant data/information relating to OHS, taking photos (obviously not of people using the toilet!) and anything else necessary to list the current problems with the infrastructure. Upon doing this we will work together to write up an Infrastructure Report which we will present to Ms Moxham (and - hopefully - subsequently the School Council) outlining our research and suggesting ways in which we can amend these issues, so that we can try and make sure something is done.

In short, if you are interesting in making a difference to the school, think about volunteering for the Infrastructure Committee. At the next meeting, hopefully, we will quickly divide into year groups and get you to put forward two representatives from each year for the committee. However, I don't want to spend too much time at the actual meeting talking about the committee as we have Christmas Dance stuff to deal with, so can you make sure everyone knows about all of this - encourage the other members of the SRC to join the forum if they haven't yet, and let them know of the committee so we can set it up very quickly at the next meeting. The committee won't have much work to do until next year, but I want to get this out of the way quickly. Thank you!
