So, on Monday, James, Olga and I went to a prefects High Tea at Sydney girls and it was heaps of fun and a great place to meet new people. We've spoken to O'b, i mean Pagani about it and Ms Moxham, and they're both happy with us having one.. well they're ok with it. So, who's interested in it?

Re: Prefects High Tea
Yes, that's pretty much what it is. It's also playing a few games like trivia and mass 20-questions (that's what they did, we can think of even more exciting things I'm sure ) as well as eating quite a lot of food that the prefects/SRC make themselves - not relying on the food tech people. The whole point is to build and maintain good relationships with people our age from other schools. Just because we don't spend 5 days a week in the same buildings as them doesn't mean we can't be friends
What I'm thinking is that maybe instead of a High Tea we can make it into more of a dance party, seeing as though we know that's what kids are into these days. Nothing big, just more music and dancing than walking around chatting awkwardly.
This isn't urgent, but it would be good to make it happen before the upper years start having their exams.

Re: Prefects High Tea
That sounds like a really good idea!!!! Is it for the whole of the two schools or just a few reps?

Re: Prefects High Tea
This year of course! It's ours
Some time after the Fort St Fest.
It won't be for the whole school, we're not even sure if it will be for the whole SRC yet.
If it is, would you guys prefer it to be more music oriented, or more light talking oriented?

Music or Talk?
Well, with the talk-or-music orientation, I'd say both.
You know, casual talking with music in the background? It would be cool if we got the one of the IMP bands or ensembles to play
Has any progress been made on this?

Re: Prefects High Tea
I'd just like to thank you all for such an outstanding High Tea - so much fun! Well done all!
A special thanks to Harriet who managed to get us the food tech room to prepare in after school - brilliant work! - despite Chris Mo taking the sausage rolls and pies out before they were ready, LOL.
And an ENORMOUS thank you to Jess, without whom there'd be no High Tea - she pressed for the idea from the start and made sure every little thing went right. What an outstanding job. Thank you again.
And now for the Trivia Night - keep those posts going! See you tomorrow morning all!

Re: Prefects High Tea
I had so so much fun!
We should try it again some time, but somehow convince more people to show up.
